Mary Ashie

Works as Care and Support Officer at the Center for Integrated Health Programs (CIHP), Abuja .She has two Diplomas, in Psychology and Social Work, and a BSc in Sociology from University of Abuja. She has over 12 years’ experience in designing and implementing HIV/AIDS-related programs with proven experience in peer education, coordinating and strengthening Care and Support activities (including Home Based Care), OVC programs, Support Group activities, referrals and linkages to ensure quality/continuum of care, and engaging diverse stakeholders such as community leadership, government, Health Facilities, the donor community and organizations such as (PLHIV Network, CBOs, NGOs and FBOs) etc.

In 2004, she was awarded for her contribution to stigma reduction in the workplace in Nigeria by Strategically Managing AIDS Response in the Workplace (SMARTWork) in partnership with the Nigerian Business Coalition against AIDS (NIBUCAA).
